After it happened again today (parts of the log in the file), I now have
the hypothesis that it happens when I send the laptop into sleep mode
while plugged in and then try to wake it up in an unplugged state.

I can't reproduce unfortunately. I can make a smb v1 server and mount it
just fine on two vms running noble, both with 6.8.0-53-generic.
