After upgrade to 24.10, the system hangs on lock screen upon wake up
from hibernation. This happens with and without external monitor
attached. It doesn't respond to any keystroke at all. Not even the
CTRL+ALT+DELETE WTF is this rubbish!?!

The kernel upgrade to 6.8.0-47 made a noticeable improvement to the
mouse/pointer problems on my Dell Inspiron, and 6.8.0-48 has now fixed
most of them - thank you!
BUT I still have one problem left: for years I've had the touchpad
disabled, and used a USB mouse, as being easier to control proper

For what it's worth, the problem persists with the 6.8.0-48-generic
kernel.
Also, I've tried building the kernel locally in order to hopefully
commit-bisect the issue. Turns out my locally compiled 6.6.19 does not
exhibit the problem, while 6.6.19 from the mainline kernel ppa does.
