Since this is not fatal (in the sense that one can detect no audio when
the hw is affected and temporarily revert back to boot the old kernel) I
want to still release the new kernel (both Jammy GA and Focal HWE). And
apply the revert to the next security cycle which will release in 2

In 24.04 noble, b44 worked fine after I unloaded the wl module from
broadcom-sta-dkms. I moved a large amount of data with no problems.

upgrade`. Rebooting to the previous kernel fixed my problems. The

After a lot of trial and error, I was able to build linux-next and
disable secure boot so I could run the kernel.
I confirmed my copy of linux-next already included the referenced patch.
I am able to now report that it appears to solve the high CPU complaint.
