It's not working. It hangs at initial boot. This behavior happens to
6.8.0-45 generic kernel as well. But when I switch to the linux-intel
6.8.0-1010 (with VMware TDX patches), it boots successfully and dmesg
shows TDX working.

Sorry for the delay in replying. This is my work laptop so I needed to

I added 'i915.enable_psr=0' to the kernel, temporarily, and this solved

That is totally understandable, but if the absolutely stability of these
identifiers isn't possible to guarantee at the kernel level, we will
simply have to use something else to permanently identify bootloader
installation targets.

and only then can I let the lid handle the suspend via this in
