AMD Rembrandt
The iwlwifi driver defines a min-max range of supported firmware
versions. It tries to load the max version and will go down the list
until it finds one it can load. Load failures will show up as -2 errors
in dmesg.
The driver also reports the max version via modinfo, the min version is
not advert

Ok I now had access to the AMD laptop in question, and it has oem-
sutton.newell-abeeku-meta.list pointing to sutton.newell repository.
I can also point out that additionally 6.8.0-40 itself does not fix the
flickering, it improves the situation but does not fix it.

6.8.0-40-generic. It does not happen on 6.8.0-39-generic.
On 6.8.0-40-generic I go to connect my Sony WH1000XM3 headset and it

I still have a phantom “Unknown Display” in Settings. But it seems that
this "display" doesn't affect the system. Only once I saw oversized
desktop, that extended beyond the monitor. I don't know how to reproduce
this oversized desktop again.
