Same with upgrading Ubuntu to 24.04 LTS (6.8.0-41.41). Tre process finished
with error, new system is starting up but freezes after login, had to restore
the kernel to 6.5.0-45 after Ubuntu upgrade.

boot from my Thunderbolt disk. Even with the current kernel 6.8.0-41 it does
not work.

After updating to Kernel 6.8-40, I got error "usb 1-13.4.3 Device
descriptor read error -110". This appeared for each of my 3 disks (so it
seems) in the external HDD enclosure. Reverting to Kernel 6.5-45 allowed
normal operations.

It works with thunderbolt.host_reset=0 in the kernel command line.

Hi, I have this EXACT same issue on a system here, down to the same line
number in the kernel source that throws the error.
The system is a Precision 490 workstation with 32 GB of ram, across 8 x
4GB DIMMs.
Relevant log lines:

Upgraded 22.04 to 24.04.1 Desktop yesterday. On boot time, the splash
screen is disturbed with the message:
"Bluetooth: hci0: Malformed MSFT vendor event: 0x02"
This seems to be a purely cosmetic issue, it seems. Bluetooth works
fine.

running `sysctl suspend` (or suspending from the Gnome menu) causes the system
to start suspending, but it freezes halfway, leaving fans and hard drives
spinning. There's no way to resum
