Same problem. From /var/log/dpkg.log, Ubuntu 23.10 seems to
automatically install kernel 6.5.0-21-generic today. However, it fails
with a half-installed status.

I have it on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS with kernel 6.5.0-21-generic. It does
not appear with kernel 5.12.0-97-generic
System still boots, but not understanding the impact I stay with the
5.12 kernel for now.
