anyway i may have found why it might not have worked on ubuntu, i saw
some errors during the compilation, basically install zstd from apt
making the install line the following
sudo apt install build-essential libncurses5-dev libssl-dev flex libelf-
dev bc bison gc

may prefer a higher pingpong threshold to activate delayed acks in quick
ack mode for better performance.
There is no single value that fits all applications.

I was able to compile it on zorin os (ubuntu 20.04.2) install it, and
touchpad/keyboard works great.
I'm now switching to 22.04 to see how that fares, the closest available
kernel for that distro is 6.5.XX coming from 6.2.XX that could
potentially mess things up, but it's worth testing i
not needed, update tags to unblock
