I can confirm with the same device and Ubuntu rather than Mint.
Starting from a new install of Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS with kernel 5.11.0-38,
sound works fine. I am offered an update to kernel 5.13.0-27 via the
package manager, after switching to this kernel sound does not work.

Hi,
on my Medion E14304 Ubuntu was working fine until Kernel 5.13.0.21.
Since Version 5.13.0.23 System Shutdown and resume hangs. The System
does not stop also after a long time.
The last messages in recovery mode on the root console are:

Hi Chris,
I guess I got the module name wrong. At any rate my broadcom wifi is
broken after the last patch. This is about the tenth time this has
happened. I think I'm going to switch to a different distro until this
gets resolved.
