I want to add that in my case it's not related to WLAN. I'm not using
WLAN on the Pi and also totally disabled it in the config ( I was hoping
that helped, but it didn't ). So the issue is related to the ETH0

The battery warning stays on top window layer all the time and covers
real important warnings and information, e.g. the task bar of a window.
It is worse if you use virtual machines as you e.g. cannot read
notifications like to disable the capture of mouse and keyboard on the

Ubuntu, but they are gone if I manually unbind the device from
elants_i2c driver and bind it to i2c_hid --

I had similar issue on my HP laptop with elantech trackpad, where
trackpad would not be responsive immediately after login. The buttons
would still work, external (USB) mouse would also work.
In my case the fix was to remove synaptics driver and let libinput
handle trackpad.
