I use a Lenovo X1 Carbon 5th Gen. I also have the described suspend
behavior. I was able to "solve" the problem by installing a Mainline
Kernel (v4.17 RC7 -> http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v4.17-rc7/). With that, suspend and resume works as
intended again.
My BIOS should also
I've been experiencing the same problem since friday on a Dell XPS 9560
laptop on Bionic. I created a different user account to test and laptop
doesn't suspend, but if I switch that user to a Mate Desktop session it
works fine.

The problem reproduces for me as soon as I do ftp(vsftpd 3.0.3 server on DUT)
to the DUT. After that it just hangs and keeps giving the msg every 10 secs
waiting for lo to become free. Usage count=1.
yes: 4 Cores/8 Processing Threads, I tried 0-7 and 0-3. 0-7 crashes
worse than 0-3. I could imagine the number being related to cores,
rather than threads.

I got access to such a machine and successfully added >32 cards via
hotplug as well as statically in the initial guest xml of libvirt.
I face maybe related issue around "accel/kvm/kvm-all.c:952:
