@Kai-Heng, when the screen is rotated, the keyboard is locked, so that is
detected somehow. Also, if you go to the screen display properties, you can
rotate whether it is Unity or Gnome or others.

Had the same problem in Windows (I think, harder to diagnose on Windows), even
after installing updates for BIOS, firmware & drivers, so this is probably a
hardware problem.
Lenovo support should visit me soon to fix the problem (with new hardware),
I'll give an update after that.

this issue.
Booting into GRUB, entering the command line and typing "exit" seems to
have worked for me. Of course, this was after I installed Kernel 4.14.9.

Well I've now hit 3 weeks of uptime with C6 disabled in the BIOS and
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="rcu_nocbs=0-15 processor.max_cstate=1"
and 4.14.6 built from the mainline kernel repo. At this point I'm
satisfied that for me at least my Ryzen is now stable.

This issue has been present since I installed a fresh copy of Xubuntu
17.10 about 3 weeks ago.
I believe that Xubuntu came with 4.13.0-16 and I upgraded to 4.13.0-21.
I installed the latest upstream kernel (4.15-rc6) and I am still
experiencing the issue. Out of 15 boots, 3 were bad and 3 took lo

Strangely, it seems like the Legacy fix works for Acers running the InsYde
BIOS, but UEFI still remains broken for some.

This may be an error in reporting on my behalf, I now suspect quite
strongly it may have been linked to timeshift (or whatever it is called)
the backup program, as, after i made the report i noticed it had created
a 25 gigabit backup on my boot drive, which quite likely will account
for the excess
