One of the machines running 2.2.1 with stock firmware has crashed
overnight.
Machines with the kernel from #21 haven't had any issues since
installation (three weeks or so)

I jumped to 4.10.1-041001-generic since I failed to go back to 4.4.0-72 which
used to work, everything is working again as it should without any problem, I
am now using the latest nvidia driver 381.22 (, also 378.13 worked perfectly
fine).

after I upgraded form Yakkety to Zesty.

I think the issue is more likely to happen when I run CPU and / or RAM

I shut down the test system I used for the repros here yesterday. And all of a
sudden during the shutdown process the system ran into a hang scenario again. I

I tried the Ubuntu mainline builds. The bug happens on mainline 4.10.12

I can update system using a terminal. And I already have done so.

I noticed a new beta BIOS ( version F5c) has appeared for AB350m G3, has anyone
tried it yet?
Does it now properly boot from a live Ubuntu image?
I just got a new power supply, I think I will also try the new BIOS on the
coming weekend.

I started a kernel bisect between Ubuntu-4.4.0-61 and Ubuntu-4.4.0-62.
The kernel bisect will require testing of about 3-4 test kernels.
I built the first test kernel, up to the following commit:
