The original bug is just an annoyance in my opinion and a cornercase as
well. From what I can tell it makes it impossible to get extended
attributes for any file, but only if you have a mixed i386/amd64
environment, run the amd64 kernel while having i386 e2fsprogs. The
impact of that should be pr

This is ubuntu desktop. I found that if I did:
sudo hciconfig hci0 lp HOLD,SNIFF
while everything was disconnected, then the audio started working
properly.
Now I'm back here because after a reboot it wouldn't connect at all, so
I guess I need to fix the pairing or something.

After an update, the touchpad is not working anymore. It is totally
unresponsive. The mouse connected with a wifi is working fine. If I
start the system with the Kernel 3.13 0-88 the touchpad is working, but
with the kernel 3.13 0-105 it is not, I cannot even find the touchpad
Still nothing useful there. Our kernels have nfs/sunrpc debugging
enabled, so let's try enabling that and see what information we can get.
I haven't used this before, so there may be a bit of trial and error
involved.

a2dp.py does not work for me. the bluetooth headset doesn't even show
up in the sound control. nothing i do makes it come back. restarting

Claire was able to retest with the 4.8.0-31.33~16.04.1 Yakkety HWE
kernel. She says the problem is still happening (ie. screen crashes and
goes blank after about 20min). She captured her dmesg output after

I did not notice this problem while using ubuntu 16.04.1 with - I
believe - linux 4.4.3* (cannot remember exactly which release, sorry). I
should be able to test the latest upstream kernel and see if that fixes
the issue. I also wanted to add that I have found what I believe is a
"trigger" for the

Hmm, no problems related to it in that log, i915 would be more verbose.
I just noticed the trace in the subject was caused by a lid close/open
and is most likely not related. It would be worth trying this out to
rule out the Intel X driver, save this as /etc/X11/xorg.conf
