Has someone reported this issue upstream to
1) Broadcom?
2) the Linux kernel bug tracker, preferably in a section dedicated to Broadcom
wireless drivers?
A quick search doesn't show any trace of either. I'm not sure what the
kernel/driver people could do, but it wouldn't hurt if they were aware.
Just tested the proposed kernel from the Kernel PPAs and afterwards your
patched version. Can verify that your fix works!

In response to #161. Since 14.04 at least both my X201 Core i5 and X230
Core i7 no longer reach thermal shutdown. It appears that the reason is
that the CPUs are more aggressively down-clocked as temperature rises.

I created a container, and then put a tagged vlan on top of lxdbr0 so
that I can talk to the host and other containers on a second network.
I gave the host's lxdbr0.1215 an IP address, and made eth0.1215 in
Moving this over to the kernel. The upstream issue is closed for the
same reason.
The network namespace is somehow still alive despite the container being
fully gone (no processes).
