Qualcomm Atheros Device [168c:0041] (rev 20)), it is likely but the only
way to know is trying :). Check your kernel version (Ryan said it was
failing for him in 4.2, and had to downgrade to match 4.1).

loading the kernel and initrd (and booting into SMP). I have to boot
with nosmp in order to get a running system.

All that patch appears to do is to remove an artificial limit for all
devices to 1024. I haven't been able to reproduce the option reset on
my systems, so here is what I would try:
Try setting the controller option and see if that sticks [1]:
rmmod megaraid_sas
modprobe megaraid_sas max_sectors
its a brand new machine, so haven't tried previous kernel, but the vivid
install image didn't even have the firmware for this particular chipset,
so brcmfmac didn't work out of the box. will test with mainline kernel
and see what happens.

I am not seeing the wlan failure under 4.2-rc7. However, I am now

I had same issues.
I solved it by following the german post.
I'll add the changed configs to this post
after a reboot all seems to be stable.

My custom build computer boots perfectly via ELILO EFI bootloader. But I
connected a second SSD (Samsung 256GB) to my PC and I am experiencing
the same boot problem. Hangs at:
