the firmware of my card reader.

only with windows but it works with virtualbox and USB sharing.

I downgraded to 14.04.2 (everything works here).

It looks like a different set of audit rules causes the same issue.
To replicate:
Install 3.13.0-52-generic kernel
apt-get install auditd
in /etc
Yes, I am using 64 bit version.
Your modified build boots OK both systemd and upstart.

This issue appears to be an upstream bug, since the code is the same in
the current v4.1-rc3 mainline kernel.
Would it be possible for you to open an upstream bug report[0]? That
will allow the upstream Developers to examine the issue, and may provide
a quicker resolution to the bug.

Actually... after testing and failing in Trusty, I upgraded to Utopic
Unicorn (kernel 3.16.0-37) 64 bit and the problem remains exactly the
same
