The connection worked fine with Caja until I rooted the tablet, then I
got the "No such interface 'org.gtk.vfs.Mount' on object at path
/org/gtk/vfs/mount/1" message.

copied a VM and changed the hard disk into an image on the physical

I changed to the upstream kernel but there was no change in the noted
behavior.
I am not sure if this is relevant but I changed from Ubuntu Desktop to
XBMCbuntu since reporting this issue. The issue is still exactly the
same on XBMCbuntu, no touchpad response and no touchpad liste
