I have tried running the 3.15 utopic kernel with 14.04. The system boots
up fine, however, i'm still getting the black screen on grub. The only
option I added was 'nomodeset'. Is anyone else experiencing this, or did
you all move 14.10?

I can confirm that with kernel 3.16.0-031600-generic the connection is
more or less stable. However, the download speed is extremely slow
(maxes out at around 1 Mbps). Does anyone have a workaround to increase
the throughput?

I agree that there is probably some missing feature in the guest kernel.
However, I don't believe it is acceptable for the hyper-visor kernel to be
affected from this.
Actually, this is a security issue if a VM user can crash i't Host kernel and

I'm also experiencing similar bug on an ASRock H61M-DGS with Ubuntu 14.04
up-to-date.
Sometimes the computer went perfectly on suspend and was able to resume,
