This bug affects me too. What is interesting in my case is that:
- I have 2 laptops, one without this issue (Acer Travelmate 5730) and one with
the issue (Acer Aspire 5749).

That laptop died a while back. I'm sure that this can be closed out. I
haven't had much time to work with UBUNTU as I am attending an Engineering
program that takes up most of my time.
