Kernel 3.12 freshly released seems to solve.
I installed it on my 13.10 - wifi works - didn't have to re-patch.
Could somebody confirm that kernel 3.12 is ok for rt3290 ?
The way I installed 3.12 kernel here : http://forum.ubuntu-

Christopher, please see http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/SSD/Scheduler and search
for elevator. It explains, that it is a disk IO Scheduling mechanism. Should
not interfere with graphics. I'll get the development release tonight and test
what's happening.

@Christopher: I'm now using Ubuntu Trusty but I'm not able to start kernel
3.12, it crashes immediately.
The backtrace is not available in /var/log/kern.log, what can I do more? Do you
want a screenshot of this crash?

I've just tested Oneiric as requested and the same problem occurs there.
This may be helpful extra information. When the Cinergy Terratec T2 is
plugged in and working, it has a blue power LED which is on. When
attempting to suspend, this light stays on, and so does the power light
on my computer.
