I also have this bug. When I rotate my mouse over my web-browser, I can
get the cpu usage to spike as high as 40%. When I am not moving the
mouse, it shows 1% usage. Rotating the mouse over a terminal window, it
jumps to 3-5%.

Having the similar issue with Ericsson H5321gw in Toshiba Z830. SIM registers
to network, but than fails to connect most of the tries(like 1success to 30
failures). I tried the solution in 2), after reboot I connected from the first
try, but after that I have not be able to get connection.

I have a Dell 610D.
I am running Ubuntu 12.4 LTS
My issue with the WiFi not working was resolved by:
installing and running b43-fwcutter.
I did not have the firmware loaded.
