computers is 13.04, with kernel 3.8.0-30. This bug doesn't present
itself on the newer versions.

told me that my notebook was already rolled out with an UEFI-BIOS (2.xy), and
that there is no updated yet for it. (I´m not sure whether it´s possible (resp.
a goog idea) to "downgrade" to the latest non-UEFI-BIO

Upstream commit breaks reclocking on nv40 in nouveau
I have this bug in Kubuntu 13.04, I couldn't connect to the wireless
networks at my university (with my home wireless it worked fine) with my
syslog full of those error msgs and several stack traces.
This was with the broadcom privative wl driver, I switched to brcmsmac
and now is working fine.

sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
Then re-install the package.

This shows up for me as well shortly before lightdm starts. Following
the advice in [this bug
report](https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcmwl/+bug/1095751) I
installed the Saucy version of the bcwml driver in order to be able to
use WLAN on my system.
Additional information.
$ policy bcm
I no longer have that computer in my office, but can install ubuntu to a
usb hard drive and run it on one of the lab computers with the same
hardware. I'll try to do that today.
