Thanks but unfortunately that's still missing any evidence of what has
hung. Please remember step 1 in comment #4 which is "Wait 10 seconds"
before rebooting. It may also help to use this to reboot:
Alt + PrtScn + {R,E,I,S,U,B}

just shut down cleanly.

Hi,
I tried adding "i915.enable_psr=0" under /etc/default/grub and the
update-grub & reboot. it seem to work but causes another issue where by
the laptop starts to hang time to time.
