The issue seems to be resolved in the current kernel supplied with Arch
Linux. I attached updated files to the report.

It's not easy to have multiple drivers for the same hardware. This bug

With those commits cherry-picked on top of the current sound subsystem
tree (aside from 65263bf16116 and 3f89e62cf14c, which both revert
changes that are not in that tree), it works. The option for SOF support
on Broadwell gets deselected automatically during the build, because the
