1) Regarding the kernel trace, is this something that started to happen
after an update? if so, which and when precisely?
2) To see if this is already resolved in Ubuntu, could you please test
for this via http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/curr
The log output included in your bug report appears to show a hang in the
kernel video driver; reassigning.
But also, your bug description mentions a bios virus. If your bios is
compromised, it's unlikely we can do anything to fix it from Ubuntu.
