Tested on the 4.5 rc7 kernel, problem still exists.
I think this is quite serious, since some programs invoked lspci and
which caused my computer to hang as well.

The soft lockup happened a lot, like using lshw, during installation, when
powering off, etc..

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a
prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
