Make a note:
1. Write speed in "Disks" tool is one thing.
2. The real write speed (e.g. during normal copy files) is other thing.
1. For "Verbatim" the "Disks" tool shows good results:
- Verbatim: 87.7 MB/s (read), 183.4 MB/s (write), 18.07 (access) - GOOD RESULT
- Seagate Expansion: 36.8 MB/s (r

I guess there is no need to install 13.04 or 12.04 with kernel from
13.10. The disk tool shows low write speed in all of them for Kingston
DT Ultimate G3 (32GB). But I can do that if you want...
I can test the cache in Kingston DT Ultimate G3 (32GB), hope this not
destroy the disk, its new one.

There are several problems related to disks below:
1. Verbatim Store 'n' Go SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive 500GB (model

2. Seagate Expansion Portable Hard Drive 500GB (model inside ST500LT012-9WS142)
3. Kingston DT Ultimate G3 (32GB)

Another good test might be to try booting the Saucy kernel on a Raring
installation to see if the bug follows the kernel.

Just to confirm, when you boot a prior kernel version on your Saucy
installation, the problem persists. However, if you boot a Raring(Or
earlier) LiveCD the issue does not exist?
Can you confirm the value of write cache when the bug exists and does not exist:
sudo hdparm -W /dev/sdb

Similar write speed problem I had with Seagate Expansion Portable Hard

lower write speed than Verbatim (Seagate inside). So I set it as record
disk to SMART TV. With Samsung TV record fine.

This problem EXISTs in 3.2 final kernel:

However I had problem during installation via
$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb
command. There were errors during processing kernel. After reboot with this
kernel I hadn't internet and icons in the left bar.
Thanks for testing. Can you also test the 3.2 final kernel:
