Today (Nov 21 2023) the kernel updated to version 6.2.0-37 and the same
issue remains. Perhaps I need to try one of the mainline kernels Ubuntu
maintains and see if 6.3 or 6.4 has the same problem. I know that I was
able to use the 6.2 kernel this way several months ago and I had no

Installed the kernel update from 6.2.0-35 to 6.2.0-36 today (Oct 30,
2023). After reboot, USB WiFi dongle was no longer recognised. Rebooted
into previous kernel (6.2.0-35) and have no issue. Not sure what broke,
or if it is a regression of some sort. Also, how to upload the b
