not sure how to add tags but I can confirm that bug exists in the new
kernel, the v4.9
I also can confirm that this bug did not exists before the latest
update.

Unable to mount phone.
It used to work fine in the past, now gone completely out.
If I connect it, sometimes I get a message on the phone screen indidcating if I
want to use it for file transfers or charging. When I choose file transfers
phone tries to mount but fails. I get
