xorg-server -listen unix option doesn't create a UNIX socket in
/tmp/.X11-unix

The X server in Kubuntu 24.04 no longer creates UNIX display sockets in
/tmp/.X11-unix, even after enabling both abstract sockets (-listen
local) and UNIX sockets (-listen unix):
$ pgrep -a Xorg
1991 /usr/lib/xorg/Xorg -listen local -listen unix -listen tcp -background none
In case of Lenovo X1 Extreme Gen 5, the issue seems to be with the latest BIOS.
BIOS version 1.20 (N3JUJ13W) is causing the Elan TrackPoint device to stop
working after wakeup from S3.
Rolling back to 1.19 (N3JUJ13W) solves the issue.

Why is this closed? @kaihengfeng please re-open. The issue is still very
much present in 22.04 and 22.10 running on Lenovo X1 Extreme Gen 5.

Removing "pci=nommconf" results in "Enabling HDA controller" no longer
being logged. However, the freezing is still there.
Is there any kernel debug flag that I can set to help debug this
further?

LG Gram laptop 17Z90Q with a Core i7-1260P CPU.
Whenever an external monitor is connected to USB-C/Thunderbolt 4,
average load goes above 3.0 and the machine is getting very hot.
Output from top -H shows a lot of kworker CPU usage:
top - 11:45:06 up 33 min, 2 users, load
N3MET... means you have a Nuvoton EC chip, it has a different version
numbering, the latest one is N3MET06W. Check the README that comes with
the BIOS update.

I think 48W is the suffix of the BIOS version, N3BET48W.
The new BIOS 1.25 released Aug 9 seems to contain 47W, and indeed does
not fix the issue.

That's what I'm doing currently - using Windows for the time being. From
personal experience I can say that the chance of something being fixed
in BIOS is fairly low and can take a loong time.
But why would Lenovo want to release a new BIOS for this since it works
flawlessly in Windows?
