appears to have fixed the issue.

OK I have reinstalled the upstream kernel and the system boots up OK but
fails to start the desktop applications so unable to test the suspend -
resume bug.
The main issue appears to be a memory leak as I get the same warning
message whenever I run any command line utilities.

Hi Christopher,
I have downloaded the image as requested and ran it from a boot-able DVD.
Then tried the suspend resume and the network is still shut down and
impossible to restart from the GUI,
The issue is exactly the same.

When I suspend and resume the PC the LAN network is unavailable, I am currently
