Public bug reported:
I am on a fully updated (using Lenovo Vantage) Lenovo P1 Gen 2 (Quadro
T2000), a Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock Gen 2 (firmware sub-version 64)
and nVidia drivers 455 over Ubuntu 20.04 with kernel
5.4.85-050485-generic.
I can not log-in at all unless I have the Dock connected
Just a remark. I had the same issue, a Lenovo P1 Gen 2 (Quadro T2000), a
Thunderbolt 3 Workstation Dock Gen 2 (firmware sub-version 64) and
nVidia drivers 455 over Ubuntu 20.04 with kernel 5.4.85-050485-generic.
More over, I could not log-in at all unless I had the Dock connected, for some
strang
occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming properly.

Same problem Toshiba SATELLITE S50D-A-10C.
Did a little check:
2 HDD's: One with Win8 and one with Ubuntu 12.04 (new install)...
- Plugged in the Win8, booted and then powered off - no batary discharge.
- Plugged in Ubuntu, booted and then powered off - a very quick batary
discharge (40%:12hr!!!)
Did a little
sudo ethtool -s eth0 wol d
will update in about 12hr...
