Forgot to mention some Hot Keys don't work either. Launch a terminal
(ctl-alt-t) and launch the calculator (ctl-alt-c) not functioning.

first saw this problem after an update to pre-release 16.04 but not

released. Thinking that bug 1559595 could be my problem I appended on
3/26/16. Since this is intermittent I can't say for certain that any
release update since March has not failed on this desktop. Run the same

Updated BIOS and the initial reboot of Ubuntu after update had a 90

Don't know if this is the same problem this bug was opened for but I am
still seeing a long (90 sec) blank screen delay right after entering my
PW. I have rebuild the system at the 4/11 daily build level and have
seen a decrease in this failure. I do have a xorg log from a failing
and a good boot

but is intermittent (every second or third boot will fail). You can out
