Not that I'm aware of. I had 32bit and 64bit versions running and it was
fine. Though I did most development under 32bit prior to 16.04 but some
also under 64bit.

Just tested with 4.8-rc4: no ethernet, no bluetooth at all and graphics
defaults to VGA only.
Booted back to the stock ubuntu xenial kernel and bluetooth/network is back up
running.
Looks to me like a massive regression.
All tested on an X220 laptop.

The rfcomm connection is as unreliable as before.
I've attached a file where I transmit comma separated data from a bluetooth
device. The data is corrupted from
debian 4.5.3-2 686 pae 32bit tested with Broadcam 20702A0.
rfcomm scan works
rfcomm bind works
cat /dev/rfcomm0 produces no output and directly returns with zero output.
putty on /dev/rfcomm0 closes the connection after a couple of seconds

Also tested with Broadcom 20702A0 bluetooth 4 dongle.
Similar problem: here at low bitrates a bit more stable but loses connection
after a while plus data corruption but no fatal crash.
Tested with kernel version: 4.5.4-1 and 4.6.0-1 both 64 bit.

I've tested with the 3.14 kernel from the ubuntu PPA and it works perfectly
with it.
