driver which was part of the standard Ubuntu kernel. As upstream patches

It is not fixed but newer versions of Ubuntu use a newer kernel which
has the feature I reported in #50 (that log shows from which exact
kernel version it shipped).
So by doing nothing for two years the issue becomes obsolete... which
makes the existence of this whole bug reporting system useless
