I'm still having the connection on&off issue, some pings over 2000ms as well
like before.
The system freeze happens on module reload so I'll make some time to try to
reproduce the problem and post an image.

Also, when I reload the module (neccesary since otherwise I don't get
connection after suspend/resume), most of the times the system freezes
forcing me to restart. I don't know if this is a problem of the driver
itself though.

I'm having problems again, this fix kind of worked the first two days
(maybe I didn't use my laptop intensively).
I'm having on and off connection.
These are the settings for the driver right now:

Thanks for the tip Larry!
As Christian said, ips is 0 by default. using "fwlps=0" seems to do the trick
:D ... I'm doing some extra tests with downloads, audio conversations and so
on, and it works so far!
Some extra notes in case of this is useful to someone else:
# change to load the module
I'm using the troy branch... I did the same as #322 (except for blacklisting
r8192 since I don't have that module here)
The connection kind of works but very often is dropped (it appears to be
connected but not works).
Is there any feedback that I can give you to help?
Thanks

Latest findings that I don't know how to interpret, so I welcome ideas:
In the ubuntu-saucy repository, all kernels I've compiled work (e.g. the

In the ubuntu-trusty repository, I've tested the one tagged as 3.11.3

Ubuntu 14.10 is affected too, tested with the stock amd64 image from a

problem affects both 32 and 64 bit versions.

So the steps I have taken above are all correct?
I should be able to conduct this entire procedure regardless of what kernel I
am currently using (I am on v3.14-rc2 - didn't go back to my original
v3.13.0-39-generic)?

Ok, I think I have a better understanding of this entire process: goal
is to conduct bisections until I find the kernel version that resolves
my bug and is closest to my current version. Git does all of the
bisections, but I have to build and manually test the kernel version it
gives me. When I fin

I suspend my laptop by either 'pm-suspend' or via the gui. The screen

penalvch, can you help me? I am trying to map my regular kernel version

Just tested v3.18-rc3-vivid - seems to be working fine. The original bug
would occur whenever I tried to sleep after disconnecting from an
external monitor or projector. Will update if bug randomly comes back.
Should I just keep this kernel version? I'm quite new to this... Thanks!
