Well, I had sound and now I don't. I don't know the exact time for when
the sound went away since it not always on. But now its gone. In
settings there are just a Dummy device with two speakers. I have tried
follow a few stack exchange-threads but no luck so so far.

FWIW: The interface is not currently being assigned an address because I
changed /etc/network/interface to make the wifi interface the primary
interface.
I tried a few variations on forcibly loading the kernel module (based on

I have a USB Ethernet adapter that worked fine in Ubuntu 20.04, and
22.04, but has stopped working in 24.04.
On boot, lsusb does not show the device at all, and none of the relevant
drivers are loaded into the kernel.

Hello, I've recently (2024-12-24) updated the kernel in my Ubuntu 22.04
from 6.8.0-49 to 6.8.0-50, but it doesn't work. I can still successfully
boot 6.8.0-49 kernel. I'm using Lenovo Thinkpad L15 Gen 2 with AMD Ryzen
5850U.
