The first known issue that comes to mind is bug 1717878. If that doesn't
solve it then please provide a log from one of the failed boots with
kernel 6.8.0-48, such as:
journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt
journalctl -b-2 > prevprevboot.txt
and attach the resulting text files here.

If you press escape during boot, it switches from the nice pretty
plymouth screen to the usual kernel log, it will still ask for your
password, but you may / may not see the message. Is there any other
output on the screen? Any errors? You can always take a picture with
your phone if there is anyth
