for Intel 7260 using -17 ucode. However, the rmmod iwldvm && rmmod iwlwifi

I just updated in place (no new harddrive, no new partitions) from 20.04LTS to
22.04LTS. Everything worked except that there is a firmware loading diagnostic
(along with a separate failure to compile the VMWare kernel support -- but that
may be a VMWar
Just updated to 22.04 and seems like the 5.15.0-27-generic is working
well with the touchpad.

Affects Xubuntu 22.04 too on Lenovo Ideapad 330s (Intel(R) Core(TM)
i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz)
After about 11 days of using 22.04 release, it lead to major loss of
productivity due to the flickering. Got headaches. This should have been
a release blocker.

Hi Colin,
the patch in comment #2 does not work on my system with 128 CPUs. I still got
the BUG: soft lockup, and eventually kill my ssh session.
I think the workaround is making the client (sender) wait for the main process
done with creating all the stressor's instances.

I hit this bug upgrading my home server (proliant microserver gen9) and
it seems to be causing memory corruption when it occurs ( at least in
combination with zfs ). Using zfs mirrored root I experienced this issue
after only a few minutes uptime, with DMAR messages flooding the log and
very high C
Bluetooth working well with `linux-firmware/jammy-proposed,now
