Yep, this is "a problem" for me running Hirsute Lubuntu on both my mac
'09 MBP and just now tried to check it on my '12 cMP in Lu 21.04 and

I want to politely point out that this thread is not helping anymore; it
has become mere chit-chat. Things were confusing to begin with and

I was able to run the ubuntu-drivers install command without problems on
a liveusb (kubuntu 20.04, the same as my system). There seems to be
