I got the new BIOS obtained from this link
https://www.asus.com/Laptops/X555BP/HelpDesk_BIOS/. The latest BIOS is
Version 326 2019/08/07 and the previous one that had touchpad problem

RMI4 touchpads. We use let hid_elan handle this device. The

I don't know how important that is as gkrellm2-cpufreq itself is scheduled for
removal.
But I wanted to make sure that it is known that the Debian kernel produces
"libcpupower-dev" which isn't available in Ubuntu and thereby blocking various
things in proposed.
