For the following error in the initial post:
[ 421.603306] [drm] Reducing the compressed framebuffer size. This may
lead to less power savings than a non-reduced-size. Try to increase
stolen memory size if available in BIOS.
This can be solved by disabling framebuffer compression, which will have
added the following lines in Vagrantfile to fix the issue temporary. It
wasn't required in Ubuntu 18.04

So I decided on passing the whole IOMMU group into Windows. At first
sound didn't work in the virtual machine. But then I downloaded Realtek

engineer HDA verbs and other commands needed to configure our sound card
