I eon't have problems with connectivity, but I hqve problems with speed.
Iperf3 shows upload speed as normal(940mbps), but download speed is only

My USB install stick had 18.04 on it, can confirm editing the installer
line enabled keyboard/touchpad no issues in the installer; however, I am

Hm, yea that sounds almost hardware at this point. I had issues
initially but they cleared up (and even my FN keys work now, idk how). I
think I almost have everything working at this point, on the newest
BIOS, on ubuntu 18.04 and custom 4.19.

Well, the new 4.15 kernel has that problem. I still have a 4.4 kernel as
alternative, which does not have that problem. Something in between has
gone bad. This does not really narrow it down enough to know the cause,
but it's not the drivers or the hardware or other software alone.

drivers. The gpu temp might only indirectly show cpu temps for my
thinkpad, since they both are connected to the same heatpipe. Hot cpu =>
warm gpu. Does not mean gpu is in use.

I have the same fail, since I updated Nvidia version (to 410), and then
even returning to 396, Vulkan doesn't work, with vulkaninfo appears in
terminal the same text as nastys.
But with "sudo vulkaninfo" Vulkan works.
PD: I have Ubuntu 18.04 with Gnome, and Nvidia's drivers.

That release note is so poorly written that I thought it meant: this
update will not install on computers with the NFC model. Still, after a
while I released that this update is meant to *fix* that problem with
Linux. Hurrah!
