Unfortunately the destination USB drive got its backup GPT corrupted after oder
during the installation. The USB is not booting any more. It was a Lexar
JumpDrive S45 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive. Even worse there it refuses to be
reformatted or repartitioned. So there no way to reproduce

Pretty much identical to bug 1638990 except that this behavior also
happens with the most recent Xenial kernel, 4.4.0-47-generic.
If I boot into recovery mode on 4.4.0-47-generic, mount the filesystem as
read/write, start networking, the resume normal boot, I can finally get

Tested with 4.8.0-27 from proposed. With this kernel, the vlan filtering init
appears to have been successful, so br->vlgrp was not NULL on shutdown.

Okay,
I've been running on 4.9-rc5 mainline all day, at work, with no issue at
all. After I take my laptop home, boom! Same problem. This is likely
triggered more often at home, where I'm on battery more than I am at
work, causing more aggressive power savings to take place.
In any case, my issue
I had the exact same issue on Vaio VGN-FW160E with VGA compatible
controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated

Ubuntu 16.10 with the current 4.8 kernel. The headset worked like a
charm until now. After the last reboot connecting the headset freezes
video playback in chrome and firefox. This sucks pretty bad.

unable to enable iommu on HPE Proliant
I got the same problem (slow speed of wifi) with the ATHEROS AR928X from an
Acer aspire AS3410T and with the ATHEROS AR9285 from an Asus X70IC. The two
computers under ubuntu 16.04 with the last update.
It work perfectly under windows 7 with this two computers.
