I'm not quite sure what you mean?
I'm currently using Debian Jessie with Kernel 4.6.3, the problem is
still there. So it is not limited to Ubuntu... it probably also exists
in more recent releases like 16.04...

Thanks Paul, I don't know where that xorg tag came from.
I finally installed the latest 4.8rc1 and rc2 kernels and will be able
to update this bug tomorrow. Unfortunately I can't create the missing
logs via apport-collect, due to some missing python qt module.

It's not really solved, it's a workaround that makes the machine use more power.
Let's hope that anyone can get intel to fix this?
