Problem may have been fixed in new upgrades.
Several packages have been upgraded by Ubuntu since reporting bug - a dpkg.log
list is attached. Also removed xserver-xorg-video-intel as Ubuntu recommend not
to use it for newer PCs. System has now been stable for a day, even with 2 USB
mice. Re-inst

Just pulled down from the Mainline FTP Linux Kernel 4.4.17, my system
works and the problem is solved...manually. Is this still happening? Is
Ubuntu still packaged with 4.4.0? Why does a fresh install of an LTS
distro contain a bug like this? And what if somebody else (a beginner
user) runs into it

Also tested with Broadcom 20702A0 bluetooth 4 dongle.
Similar problem: here at low bitrates a bit more stable but loses connection
after a while plus data corruption but no fatal crash.

4.2.8 was successful.
For the 4.3 unstable versions I installed linux-4.3.0-040300rc4-generic
- It's broken like the 4.4-8 Kernels.
Unfortunately I will have to stop testing for now. Adding all the
kernels broke my system :/ I'll need to clean that up before I
continue.

Ugh... that was painful testing :) All Kernels 4.3-4.4.x are broken.
I've been using 14.04 for two years now. Does this mean I'll need to go
through every Kernel between the releases?

Ok, I was able to fix this on my Dell Inspiron 3551. The solution was a
superclean fresh installation of ubuntu16.04 with the latest bios
installed and secure boot off. Everything (suspend/wake/restart) works
now with the latest ubuntu default kernel (XX-34). But don't aks me why
or what went wrong

A workaround is to create a Xen-Template for 16.04 with the default
Ubuntu-Installer like described here:

upstream Bluez is mentioned in the landings email, but I didn't see any
references to this issue (but I could have missed it in a previous email).
