I too faced the booting problem with Ubuntu 15.10 to kernel 4.2.0.30 after software update. But if I move to previous Kernel version 4.2.0.27, then it is working fine. Today again I updated my Kernel 4.2.0.30. Now everything is working fine. It seems there was a bug, but now it is resolved. --
