After testing every kernel under the sun, I found that 4.2.0.x kernels
appear to the last ones with normal idle load. I tested all the 4.2, 4.3
and 4.4 kernels marked "-wily" and found that they all had the increased

I used strace on apt-get and it attempted to access the following non-
existent files:
/var/lib/dkms/vboxhost/5.0.9/source/dkms.conf
/var/tmp/mkinitramfs_OcRxJk/etc/modprobe.d/dkms.conf
The file /var/lib/dkms/vboxhost/5.0.9/build/dkms.conf DOES exist, but
was NOT accessed.

The error message occurs during any normal kernel update, not just during
autoremove.
I can reproduce it at will with "sudo apt-get install --reinstall
linux-image-4.2.0-29-generic" (or whatever the latest version is).

I had Xubuntu 15.04, and the steps in Post #118 worked for me.
Upon upgrading to Xubuntu 15.10, the WiFi card was no longer recognized.
Retrying the steps in Post #118 resulted in error messages.

As of Bluez5, AVRCP does not inject keypresses any more, but bluez
connects to MPRIS.
The issue is either in our bluez setup or the media-hub mpris interface

Sometimes it boots, and sometimes I get the Kernel Panic. I'd say it boots once
out of every 4 tries with the latest kernel:
3.13.0-77-generic #121-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jan 20 10:50:42 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64
x86_64 GNU/Linux
I've attached to this post an apport report generated while running
3.13.0-77
added unity8 & bluez. Not sure who decided what keycodes map to what.
