The previous suspend fails were done with the following hardware
installed 4GB RAM and a Crucial M550 SSD (SATA3) with the swap turned

Comments made on 4-18-2015 about suspend results were attained with the

(SATA2)with 6GB of RAM.
I am also seeing this problem with some variations in behavior depending
on what I am trying to do. I see it with multiple brands and types of
USB drives.
I tried different versions of the kernel. It seems to have appeared in
the 3.13.0-35 kernel. I do not see it while using the 3.13.0-34 kernel,
km, the next step is to fully commit bisect from kernel 3.13 to 3.19 in
order to identify the last good kernel commit, followed immediately by
the first bad one. This will allow for a more expedited analysis of the

Systemd fails to Load Kernel M
Per Mike's testing, this is now resolved by pushing more recent images
to Releases that enable hwe-u in Trusty for PPC64EL.
So from the initial bug point of view, this is fixed and could be
marked as such.
However, as this also affects everything that's NOT ppc64el, I'd suggest
leaving it open u

I installed the packages as you directed, Joseph Salisbury. The grub entry
was 3.19.0-17-generic. The boot stalled at the usual place. Something about
islice, as reported elsewhere in the ubuntu forum. My bug was not resolved
by this action. It was fixed by actions mentioned earlier in this thread.

After upgrading to 15.04, booting takes long. The cause seems to be that
systemd fails with "failed to start Load Kernel Modules". The cause for
that turns out to be that systemd-modules-load fails to load the it87

I have found how to add tags ("edit description" opens a text line with
tags).
I have installed the 4.1 rc2 kernel, and find it in my grub menu.
Unfortunately I cannot test with it; when I try to boot it I get a
message box saying "the system is running in low graphics mode", and
when I confirm it

If I get it right then the kernel versions proposed by Brad and Joseph
are different. I first thried Brad's proposal, doing "apt-get update"
and "apt-get dist-upgrade". This left me with the 3.19.0-16 kernel I
already had. As I mentioned it does not fix the problem.

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a
prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer

I'm gonna update the bios as you noticed me but unfortunatelly I can't update
it through ubuntu. A windows OS is requested.
So I need to set up an USB drive with a bootable windows xp OS to launch the
update. I'll do this with virtualbox.

The fix is not available and not working. I confirm that the bug of
